As a Crawford County native, Jacob Howell has a passion for representing the citizens of the River Valley.
Following high school, Jacob earned a Finance Degree from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville in August of 2008. After graduating from the U of A, Jacob enrolled at the University of Tulsa College of Law and earned his Juris Doctor Degree in May of 2011.
While attending the University of Tulsa College of Law, Jacob was employed with the Tulsa County District’s Attorney’s Office, where he handled numerous felony criminal matters.
Following graduation from law school, Jacob moved back to Crawford County. Shortly thereafter, Jacob passed both the Arkansas and Oklahoma Bar Exams and began his career with a local law firm where his practice focused on the areas of civil litigation, real estate matters, and estate planning.
In October of 2012, Jacob joined the Crawford County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, where he was employed through December of 2013. While at the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, Jacob handled a variety of criminal cases including: Murder, Rape, Aggravated Robbery, Drug Charges, Battery, and DWI Offenses.
While working towards retirement, Mr. Paul Gant of the Gant Law Firm called Jacob to discuss the possibility of Jacob aiding in the retirement transition. After much consideration by Mr. Gant and Jacob, the decision was made to open the Howell Law Firm, P.A., which operates out of the Gant Law Building.
